Former
Arkansas
Gov.
Mike Huckabee
believes there is a “double standard of justice” in the United States, echoing Republicans’ calls of hypocrisy over the discovery of classified documents in President
Joe Biden
‘s possession.
Huckabee said he found it “very troubling” that Biden’s lawyers and aides were able to look through the discovered records, while former President Donald Trump’s attorneys were not allowed to examine the documents or be “anywhere on site.”

“I think it’s very indicative of the fact that we have a double standard of justice. We all know it,” Huckabee said. “But we just keep getting more and more pieces of evidence to substantiate that.”
Rep. James Comer (R-KY) released a letter to Biden on Sunday asking the president to turn over the visitor logs of his Delaware residence, but the White House said
no visitor logs exist
. However, Huckabee said in an
interview
with Fox News that he “totally agrees” with Comer’s suggestion to look to Secret Service for potential records.
“We certainly need to know who was showing up at the residence, if these documents were being kept in a garage by his Corvette,” Huckabee said. “Were they exposed? Could someone just walk in there and take one of those files? We don’t know.”
Two batches of classified documents were found at Biden’s Delaware home and another was found at the Penn Biden Center. Comer requested logs from Jan. 20, 2021, to the present day, delivered no later than Jan. 30.
Visitor logs for the Penn Biden Center have not been requested by Comer.
“It is troubling that classified documents have been improperly stored at the home of President Joe Biden for at least six years, raising questions about who may have reviewed or had access to classified information,” Comer wrote.
Huckabee said he thinks Secret Service “carefully knows” who is going to be around one of their protectees, in this case, the president.
“They know everything they can about them, you have to give a Social Security number to the Secret Service before you can see a protectee,” Huckabee claimed. “They certainly keep notes, and those notes wouldn’t just disappear.”
However, Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Associated Press that while the Secret Service provides security at the president’s private home, it does not maintain visitor logs.
Secret Service has not yet responded to the Washington Examiner’s requests for comment on security processes.

Huckabee said that he doesn’t know if the situation warrants criminal charges against Biden, but pointed to the fact that the documents were discovered prior to the election and the knowledge was kept internally before their reveal in early January.
“How come? Who kept his secret? Who is protecting him? Who continues to protect him?” Huckabee said. “And why is [sic] the documents in his vice presidential hands so much less important than the documents that were [in] a former president’s hands in his own residence in a locked place?”
