The Alaska Department of Revenue is slated to give checks from the Permanent Fund Dividend to another group of eligible residents who have yet to receive their dividend checks in two days.
Residents in Alaska who have not gotten their PFD checks from 2023 or earlier and had the “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of last Wednesday will get their payments from the program on Thursday.
An applicant must intend to remain a resident of Alaska indefinitely and must not be a convicted felon, among other requirements, to be eligible for the program.
Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend program sends payments each year based on the state’s annual mineral revenues. In 2023, the PFD payment gave eligible residents checks worth $1,312, beginning in October 2023.
“The 2023 PFD marks the 42nd year Alaskans have received their share of the state’s natural resource wealth,” Alaska Department of Revenue Commissioner Adam Crum said in a statement about the 2023 payment. “I would like to thank our Permanent Fund Dividend Division for their tireless work year-round in administering the program and processing the applications.”
“This year, we processed over 8,000 more applications than in 2022,” Crum said last year. “The 2023 PFD will inject nearly $1 billion into the state’s economy and directly into the hands of Alaskans.”
