The Alexandria City Council is scheduled to consider a rule at tonight’s meeting that would double permit fees for street parking for city residents.
The current annual parking fees for residents are $15 for the first vehicle, $30 for the second and $50 for each additional vehicle. Each of those fees would double if the ordinance is passed.
The city would start collecting the new fees July 1.
