Don’t be scared of the dark, it can be your friend.
Based on Mark Silvestri’s comic of the same name, “The Darkness” is the story of mobster Jackie Estacado.
Jackie ticks off his uncle Paulie and has to defend himself from waves of goons. Luckily, he finds himself in the hands of a supernatural power that manifests itself on his 21st birthday.
The game is dark and gritty, using light itself as an opponent you must keep at bay.
Not your typical FPS, you use tendrils and serpant-like heads to take out foes and quirky comic relief sidekicks called darklings that can be summoned to help out.
Aside from a few technical hiccups with the darklings and creeping dark powers, this is a great cinematic game.
