Uptown in Mount Vernon?s historic and cultural district, the Walters Art Museum opens its doors for those seeking art and aperitif.
Every Friday, the museum stays open until 8 p.m. Tonight, stop by for “Uncovering a Renaissance Masterpiece: Coltellini?s Madonna and Child Enthroned with Saints,” a special lecture given by exhibitions conservator Gillian Cook. If you have a few kids tagging along, and wining and dining is not your thing, the National Aquarium in Baltimore offers a most special overnight adventure this Friday: “A Very Deep Sleep.” At 7 p.m., doorslock to the public, letting overnight visitors see what happens after hours.
Activities include late night tours, arts and crafts and a private presentation by divers in the Atlantic Coral reef after dark.
