‘Did he grab you?’ Corey Lewandowski pressed for answers on John Kelly altercation

Fox News’ Chris Wallace repeatedly pressed former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski about his rocky relationship with White House chief of staff John Kelly.

In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Wallace asked Lewandowski about a New York Times report that said Kelly pinned him against a wall outside the Oval Office in February during a physical altercation, prompting Secret Service to intervene.

Lewandowski denied that the Secret Service had to jump in to break up a fight.

“I know you don’t want to answer this question, but I’m going to ask you it anyway. Did you get into a physical altercation with John Kelly this last winter that had to be broken up by the Secret Service, yes or no?” Wallace asked.

“The Secret Service didn’t break anything up,” Lewandowski said. “John and I had very a candid discussion as he probably has many times with the president, and the difference is —”

Wallace cut in, asking, “Did he grab you?”

Lewandowski refused to provide details, saying only, “I don’t want to get into what John may or may not have done, but what I do think is he understands that my position is to support the president and the president’s agenda all the time.”

Lewandowski appeared on show with ex- Trump campaign deputy manager David Bossie to tout their new book, “Trump’s Enemies: How The Deep State Is Undermining The Presidency,” which will be released Tuesday.

In the book, Wallace said they “go after” Kelly for requiring that the two get a formal escort when they are in the West Wing.

Both Lewandowski and Bossie said they “respect” Kelly, a retired Marine general, for his service to the country and work for Trump. But they both griped at the restrictions they said were too overbearing.

Lewandowski called the escort “a bit out of bounds,” and suggested the president is chafing at how Kelly’s restrictive regime is preventing allies from contacting him.
