CHRISTOPHER MURPHY

D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray named Murphy chief of staff, replacing Gerri Mason Hall, who Gray fired in March amid allegations of nepotism, cronyism and the promise of a job to mayoral candidate Suliamon Brown. Murphy previously was deputy chief of staff at the Department of Housing and Human Development and founded City Year Washington D.C., a service organization. Andrea Pringle, a political consultant who worked on Howard Dean’s 2004 presidential campaign, was named deputy chief.
