President Trump reportedly called the man he mocked as overweight at his campaign rally, but did not apologize.
A White House official told CNN that the man, identified as Frank Dawson, did not pick up, and Trump left a message thanking him for his support. It was originally reported that Trump called to apologize for his comments.

During his rally in New Hampshire on Thursday, Trump mocked the attendee as being overweight when a heckler caused a disruption.
“That guy’s got a serious weight problem! Go home. Start exercising,” Trump said. “Got a bigger problem than I do. Got a bigger problem than all of us.”
It turned out that Trump was actually mocking one of his supporters.
Dawson, who was wearing a “Trump 2020” t-shirt, told Fox News after the rally that he has no hard feelings against the president.
“He didn’t see me rip the signs away from those three people that were sitting near us, and they were trying to cause a ruckus,” Dawson said. “They jumped up and start yelling something. I don’t even care what they were yelling about. It wasn’t going to happen beside me because I’m trying to listen to my president.”
“But I think he thought I was part of it, but I wasn’t. I was the good part of it,” he added. “Everything’s good. I love the guy. He’s the best thing that ever happened to this country.”
