Haze” is the last title you should be playing on Memorial Day. The brainless grunt soldiers whom you are tasked to kill are painted as bloodthirsty addicts who would sooner kill anything that moves than protect anyone.

The graphics and weapon design are sloppy and would look right at home on the GameCube. Vocals are boring, the writing is flat, the AI is embarrassing … all this from former developers of Nintendo 64’s masterpiece, “GoldenEye,” what went wrong?

The game seems to be written around its one saving grace, the nectar system that functions as a drug-induced berserker rage that makes you stronger, makes enemies glow and gives you extra health. However, you seem to be the only character advanced by the nectar.

Juiced-up enemies go down if you look at them funny and seem almost handicapped as you can poison them with their own rage drug.

“Haze” is only worth playing if you’re desperate for a Playstation 3 co-op shooter.
