Police investigate shooting in Montgomery County

A 55-year-old man was shot Wednesday morning in Montgomery County, police said.

Officers responded shortly after 8 a.m. to the shooting in the 2200 block of Wimbledon Circle. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, Montgomery County police said.

An investigation found that the victim and the suspect, 48-year-old Timothy Roosevelt Prue, had started to argue at Prue’s home. Prue retrieved a handgun and shot the victim in the leg while the victim was trying to leave the scene, police said.
