Florida OF Cody Ross spent his weekend killing the Nats. Hit game-tying homer in ninth Friday. Sunday, he was 3-for-4 with 5 RBI, including a homer in the eighth and three-run double to break 4-4 tie in the ninth.
All-Star Performance
Nats OF Adam Dunn batted 2-for-2 with three walks, reaching base five times in all. He also scored a run on a Jesus Flores RBI single in the fifth. But the Nats left 12 runners on base in the 7-4 loss.

Nats RHP Daniel Cabrera posted a second straight acceptable start. He pitched five innings with three hits allowed and four walks. The Marlins scored just two runs off Cabrera, who pitched into the sixth and left after 92 pitches.

Marlins 2B Dan Uggla gave Nats an eighth-inning gift. With runners at corners and one out, Ryan Zimmerman hit a double-play ball to third. But Uggla’s throw bounced past 1B Ross Gload for an error as go-ahead run scored.

For third game in a row, Manny Acta turned a ninth-inning lead over to his bullpen. For the third game in a row it was blown. Saul Rivera gave up four runs as Florida took a 7-4 lead.
After 98 pitches through 4 1/3 innings, starter Chris Volstad labored for Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez. So he turned to a bullpen that allowed just one run in 4 2/3 innings.
