Man shot in Northeast A man was shot and wounded in Northeast D.C. Saturday morning.
Police were responding to a report of a shooting around 7:34 a.m. when they found an adult male, conscious and breathing, on the 1500 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE.

He was taken to a local hospital. Police have not yet named suspects in the case.
84-year-old woman robbed in home
An elderly woman was attacked and robbed inside her home in Suitland Wednesday and wasn’t found until Thursday, police said.
A neighbor notified police of a suspected robbery after seeing the woman’s front door ajar. Police arrived at the 4400 block of Arnold Road around 3:20 p.m. Thursday to find the 84-year-old woman lying on the floor, injured. She told police that a man knocked on her door, pretending to be a neighbor, and forced his way into her home. The man physically assaulted her and took money before fleeing, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 20 and 30 years old, around 6-feet-tall, with a muscular build.
Man who killed transgender woman, may be caught on video
Police believe they may have video of a man suspected of fatally stabbing a transgender woman in D.C. Thursday night.
JaParker Jones, 23, of Northeast D.C., was found stabbed and unconscious around 8:13 p.m. on the 4900 block of East Capitol Street NE Thursday. Also known as “Deoni” and “Logan,” Jones died at a nearby hospital early Friday morning.
Investigators suspect a black male of medium complexion, between 30 and 40 years old, with a beard.
Police believe they may have caught the suspect on camera crossing the street and are asking the public to watch on YouTube the video titled Person of Interest in Homicide, 4900 block of East Capitol St., NE, on Youtube and call if they can help identify the man.
