DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Red Wings have recalled forward Joakim Andersson from the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. Detroit also placed goaltender Jonas Gustavsson on injured reserve.

Gustavsson has appeared in one game for the Red Wings this season. He played in Detroit’s season opener at St. Louis on Jan. 19 before injuring his groin.

Andersson, who turned 24 on Tuesday, is in his third full season with the Griffins and has 10 goals and 17 assists in 36 games in 2012-13.
