Donald Trump Jr. incorrectly stated Thursday evening that Federal Communications Commission head Ajit Pai was former President Barack Obama’s FCC chairman in a tweet attacking the “outrage” over the agency’s net neutrality repeal.
“I would pay good money to see all those people complaining about Obama’s FCC chairman voting to repeal #NetNeutality actually explain it in detail,” Trump Jr. tweeted, misspelling the word neutrality. “I’d also bet most hadn’t heard of it before this week. #outrage”

Pai, who led the agency’s vote Thursday to repeal Obama-era net neutrality regulations, was appointed to the commission by Obama in 2012, but it wasn’t until this year that he was elevated to chairman by President Trump.
The eldest Trump son, who has a penchant for calling out “fake news,” has not issued a correction for the error in this tweet.
