Rain, Rain go away

Not sure the Cardinals are too glad to be in D.C. at the moment. The last time St. Louis was in town to play the Nats their series finale was rained out. Well – it’s raining again. Hard. The tarp is on the field, the fans have taken cover and both teams will get some mean games of gin rummy in while waiting out these storms.

Official time the umpires called it: 7:56 p.m. The Nats are trailing 2-0 in the top of the fourth with a St. Louis runner at first base. Team officials are confident the game will get in eventually. But it may be a while. A decent-sized storm is making its way through Fairfax County and Arlington right now and into the District with a bigger cell about 40 miles behind that one near Front Royal. We’ll keep you posted.
