A 7-year-old boy was injured when a Metrobus door closed on him, according to D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital with minor injuries, DC Fire and EMS spokesman Lon Walls said.
The door hit the boy around 4:12 p.m. near Georgia Avenue and Howard Place NW, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Some confusion remains about the incident. A Metro spokesman said the child was exiting the rear door of the bus; Walls said the boy was entering the bus with his mother.
