D.C. wine bar burglarized three times this month

A wine bar in the U Street NW area has been burglarized three times this month, police said.

Vinoteca Wine Bar & Bistro, located in the 1900 block of 11th Street NW, was burglarized on Aug. 3, Aug. 9 and again on Tuesday, police said. The incidents took place overnight, and a police spokeswoman said she did not know whether they were related.

Police released one photo from Aug. 9. The suspect in the photo is described as a black male in his late 40s or early 50s. He was wearing a dark short-sleeve shirt, light colored shorts, light colored sneakers with black tongues and eyeglasses.

Police also released a photo from Tuesday’s incident. The suspect in that photo is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20s. He was wearing dark colored shorts and a light colored T-shirt which contained the lettering “4AR.”
