The AP reports this troubling news:
Almost 6 million young people are neither in school nor working, according to a study released Monday. That’s almost 15 percent of those aged 16 to 24 who have neither desk nor job, according to The Opportunity Nation coalition, which wrote the report.

One has to assume that most of those 6 million do not wish to be idle, even if they think they do. And it is almost as demoralizing to imagine these lives as it would be to live them.
But, then, there is good news. None of those 6 million are working at jobs that pay less than the minimum wage and all of them can stay on their parents’ health care plans. If, that is, they have not yet been canceled.
