Former President Carter will return to Washington on Monday for his rescheduled book tour appearance at the Lincoln Theatre on U Street. Carter will reflect on his years at the White House and read excerpts from his new book “White House Diary” at the sold-out Smithsonian event.
The book appearance originally was scheduled for Sept. 29, but Carter was forced to cancel the reading after being hospitalized with a stomach ailment just two days earlier.
