Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is proposing to make simplier for the state’s boat owners.

McDonnell on Thursday announced that the state Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries would work together so that boat owners can register their boats and boat trailers in one stop. Previously, owners registered their boats with Game and Insland Fisheries and their trailers with the DMV.

Virginians will also be able to get hunting and fishing licenses from both agencies.

“This partnership will simplify the citizens’ interaction with state agencies,” McDonnell said.
