LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Lubbock police say three people have been arrested and one hospitalized after reports of gunshots near a children’s party.
Crime tape blocked off a yellow inflatable bouncy castle on Sunday in Lubbock. Police say they were called out to the neighborhood earlier in the day on reports of gunfire before the shooting that happened two hours later.
No one was injured in the first reported incident. A witness tells KCBD-TV the party was going on at the time shots were first reported.
Police say a woman was hospitalized after the second shooting but her injuries aren’t life-threatening. Her identity hasn’t been released.
Police say three men left the scene of the shooting in a Chevy Impala and were later arrested. It’s unclear if any have been charged.
