Nearly six in 10 Americans believe states should be allowed to create anti-protest “buffer zones” around abortion clinics, defying a new Supreme Court ruling on the issue.
A poll from the St. Leo University Polling Institute found that 57 percent support the buffer zones, 28 percent don’t.

On Thursday, the court struck down a 35-foot protest-free zone outside abortion clinics in Massachusetts. The ruling was unanimous, with the justices claiming the zones violated the First Amendment rights of protesters.
The institute provided Secrets the results of the poll of 1016 people conducted May 28 to June 4.
