In his 10 years as coach at Maryland, Florida State has handed Ralph Friedgen more losses than any other team, some more painful than others. Here are the top five: 5. FSU 29, Maryland 26 (2009)?» Anxious to break a five-game losing streak and win for the first time in Tallahassee, the Terps seemingly wrapped it up with a Cam Chism interception with 2:57 left, but FSU freshman Lonnie Pryor ran for a touchdown with 32 seconds left.

4. FSU 35, Maryland 27 (2005) ?»  With hopes to reach the first ACC Championship game, QB Joel Statham staked the Terps to a 27-21 lead before the Seminoles rallied at home behind QB Drew Weatherford.

3. FSU 37, Maryland 10 (2002) »  Friedgen had yet to lose a game at Byrd Stadium. But the Chris Rix-led Seminoles were motivated by their runner-up finish to the Terps in the ACC in 2001 after winning the title nine straight years.

2. FSU 37, Maryland 3 (2008) ?»  The No. 22 Terps were fired up at Byrd, but the Seminoles took the air out of the black-out crowd, rolling to a 21-0 halftime lead. The loss left the Terps 3-4 against unranked teams and 4-0 against ranked foes. “It boggles my mind,” Friedgen said.

1. FSU 52, Maryland 31 (2001) »  In his rookie year, Friedgen had won his first seven, then guided the Terps to an early 14-0 lead in Tallahassee. But Rix, knocked out early by E.J. Henderson, came off the bench and threw five touchdown passes.
