Duo wanted in N.E. DC teen killings

U.S. marshals are looking for two young men who are wanted in the fatal shooting of two teenagers in Northeast Washington. Earl Jackson Jr., 18, and Antonio Barnes, 20, are wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder in the October 2009 slaying of Davonta Artis, 15, and Daquan Tibbs, 18, in the Clay Terrace housing complex.

Police said Artis was an innocent bystander returning home from middle school when he got caught in the crossfire between two rival gangs. Police recovered three guns from the scene.

“These two individuals are young, reckless and dangerous they need to be brought to justice immediately,” D.C. police Detective Travis Barton, of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Police offer a reward of $50,000 for information that leads to their arrest.
