DALLAS (AP) — Light rail service in downtown Dallas will be halted for six weekends including the Thanksgiving holiday during repairs to Dallas Area Rapid Transit lines.

DART shuttle buses will be in place to serve the affected downtown stations.

DART says the rail service interruption starts this Saturday and Sunday. Rail service will be discontinued the following five weekends to allow crews to replace track along Pacific Avenue and Bryan Street.

The rail service outage over Thanksgiving weekend runs four days, starting on the holiday Nov. 27 and then through Nov. 30.
