ESPN announced comments from SportsCenter anchor Jemele Hill about President Donald Trump do not reflect the network’s views.
Hill posted multiple tweets Monday in which she criticized Trump and called him “unqualified” and “unfit” for the presidency.
Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.

ESPN responded and said the network had talked to Hill about her controversial tweets.

“The comments on Twitter from Jemele Hill regarding the President do not represent the position of ESPN,” ESPN said in a statement. “We have addressed this with Jemele and she recognizes her actions were inappropriate.”
In August, ESPN removed a sports announcer named Robert Lee from a University of Virginia game because he shared a name with Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Protests had occurred in Charlottesville due to the city removing a statue of the general.
