A resolution from Mayor Gavin Newsom before the Board of Supervisors Budget Committee asks for approval of the lease for the Exploratorium’s planned new location: Pier 15 and part of Pier 17. The 66-year lease will give the hands-on science museum “a more visible, accessible, transit-friendly location with sufficient capacity to meet its expanding program,” Newsom’s resolution states.
