Annapolis’ TeleCommunication Systems saw a 113 percent jump in fourth-quarter revenue, to $79 million from $37 million a year ago, as part of a $58 million profit for 2008, the company said.
The developer of wireless technology pointed to strong sales in its core areas of text messaging, government communications services and location-based applications including 911 call tracking.
“All of these contributed to our record results and they appear resistant to the conditions which are affecting much of our economy,” Chief Executive Officer Maurice Tos said in a statement.
