Moore As we celebrated the Fourth of July and reflected on the past, present, and future of our nation, I was reminded of something Thomas Jefferson once wrote: “It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.”  This is a fiscal imperative and moral obligation that has gone ignored at our own peril. Today, the fastest-growing part of the federal budget isn’t infrastructure, education, healthcare, or even defense.
