WHAT: During House debate on the Cut, Cap and Balance Act of 2011, wailed that “In order to pay our bills, Republicans would require us to pass a constitutional amendment that would permanently enshrine their partisan budget priorities in law and make it virtually impossible to raise revenue.” WHY IT’S DIM: Evidently the whip forgot that he’s never supposed to admit Democrats care more about being able to raise taxes than about cutting spending?
CURE: Double shot of that “tax and spend” Kool-Aid.
