Haskell Arnold has been appointed by the Howard County Council the new county auditor.
Arnold holds a master?s of business administration from Harvard and is a certified public accountant licensed to practice in Maryland.
He spent 17 years at Constellation Energy Group, nine years as the general auditor. He also has worked as chief internal auditor for the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration and internal audit manager for the Washington Suburban Commission.
In Howard, he has served on the Board of Public Works, Planning Commission and Economic Development Authority Board.
Arnold starts the new job April 2 and replaces Ron Weinstein, who became director of the Office of Budget.
