The Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in downtown Washington reopened Tuesday after a morning fire at a restaurant in the building’s food court.

D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says the fire started shortly before 7 a.m. in the kitchen of the Cajun Grill and traveled through duct work. Firefighters had to go into the  walls to check for hot spots. No one was injured, he said.

Streets around 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue were closed for several hours and reopened around 9:30 a.m. The building was reopened to workers around 11 a.m.
