Three-quarters say Trump should fire Robert Mueller: Drudge poll

More than 75 percent of people who answered a survey on Drudge Report this weekend think President Trump should fire special counsel Robert Mueller.

Robert Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein last year to investigate Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election and their possible ties to the Trump campaign.

By Sunday afternoon 450,000 individuals had surveyed with 77 percent calling for Trump to fire Mueller.

The online poll comes days after Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe less than 48 hours before his retirement. McCabe claims he was fired as part of a larger plan to dismantle Mueller’s investigation.

Trump’s lawyer said on Saturday that Rosenstein should end Mueller’s investigation. After a wave of criticism, he clarified his statement and said he was not speaking on behalf of the president, but for himself.
