Even first period. Both teams had some decent scoring chances. Pace of play was good. Few stoppages. Caps had the only power play thanks to a cross check by Flyers D Ole-Kristian Tollefsen with 2:09 left in the period. Washington again struggled to manintain possession in its own zone and is now scoreless on the last 12 PPs. Caps had 11 shots to Philly’s 10. Pretty sure this game isn’t ending 0-0 with a shootout so stay tuned. Could be some fireworks in the second.
