A man shot Friday night at a vigil for a cancer victim is in stable condition, according to Prince George’s County police.
Cpl. Larry Johnson said the man was getting out of his car at the vigil in Landover Hills when another man approached him, firing several shots at about 9:40 p.m. on the 4700 block of 68th Avenue.
The man, shot several times, was taken to a local hospital.
