Democrats reintroduce Clinton to America with convention video

PHILADELPHIA — The Democratic National Convention Committee unveiled a new video to re-introduce former President Bill Clinton to the American people.

President Clinton has been the target of much criticism from Donald Trump on the campaign trail, including Trump accusing the president of “rape.”

On Tuesday, the convention video aimed to show Clinton discussing his approach to public service and the positive impact he has made on some Americans’ lives.

“Under President Clinton, 23 million jobs were created, and our country had a budget surplus,” the Democratic National Convention Committee said in a statement upon release of the video.

“He signed the Family and Medical Leave Act and gave historic tax relief to working poor families and middle-class parents sending their children to college. President Clinton also protected 58 million acres of heritage forest and saved Medicare, Medicaid and education spending from Republican cuts.”
