Senior Donald Trump adviser Michael Caputo celebrated campaign manager’ Corey Lewandowski’s firing with a tweet saying, “Ding dong the witch is dead!”
The tweet links to a video of the Wizard of Oz, in which the Munchkins celebrate the ultimate demise of the Wicked Witch of the East.
Relations between Lewandowski and other campaign staffers have reportedly been tense in recent months, and the majority of Trump’s campaign staff found out about Lewandowski’s firing at the same time the press did Monday morning.
Caputo served as New York state director for Trump’s campaign.
