Police in North Carolina are searching for a man who allegedly approached a 24-year-old woman and set her on fire.
The incident occurred in Kinston, North Carolina, on Monday morning in broad daylight while Khloe McNeal was driving her car. When she came to a stop, police say an unknown man approached and poured gasoline on her, setting her ablaze.
McNeal suffered severe burns on the upper part of her body as a result. An officer was flagged down after the incident, and McNeal was taken to a hospital to be treated for the wounds.
The suspect was described as a black man aged 20 to 30 years. Police have not provided details on a possible motive, and investigators said they were still in the preliminary stages of determining who was behind the attack.
