‘Your network is a horror’: Cuomo interview with Giuliani degenerates into shouting match

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo’s interview with Rudy Giuliani degenerated into a shouting match as the former mayor of New York City traded barbs that escalated steadily over nearly half an hour.

Giuliani came on Cuomo Prime Time to discuss the anonymous whistleblower who claims President Trump made a “promise” to a foreign leader about Ukraine.

“You’re a sellout,” Giuliani told the CNN anchor at one point in the interview, adding Cuomo had opened the show with “totally erroneous” information and “completely spun” things.

Giuliani asserted that Biden’s son’s alleged ties to foreign nations is a much graver issue than the claims made by an anonymous whistleblower, for which Cuomo accused Giuliani of getting off-topic. “Listen, Rudy, I don’t know what any of this has to do with what I have been asking you about tonight.”

“What it has to do with how unfair you are! Do you get that?” Rudy fired back.

Giuliani contrasted the “anonymous whistleblower complaint” against the president with what he said is “clear proof that Biden’s son got $1.5 billion from China. And you won’t cover it! Tell me you’re not unfair! Nobody — nobody buys that, Chris. That’s why your network has no ratings!”

Cuomo accused Giuliani of destroying his credibility by hitching himself to Trump. Giuliani then railed that CNN was involved in a “cover-up” of news and that the network was “a horror to the country.”

“Your network is a creature of the Democratic National Committee,” Giuliani said as the off-the-rails interview concluded.

Giuliani and CNN have had a history of contentious interviews, including one in January where Cuomo pressed the former mayor on whether the Trump campaign had colluded with the Russian government. “I never said there was no collusion,” Giuliani said in the interview, in what became a comment derided by critics.

Trump has praised his lawyer’s combative style, calling him a “true warrior.”
