The San Francisco Giants are set to become the first team in Major League Baseball to play in gay pride-themed uniforms.
The “SF” logo on the team’s caps will be colored with the Progress Pride flag, and each jersey will also have a patch on the right sleeve featuring that flag when the team faces off against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday, according to CBS News.

“The 11 colors of the new Pride logo are emblematic of the Progress Pride Flag and signify inclusion and progression with the six pride colors – red (life); orange (healing); yellow (sunlight); green (nature); blue (serenity); purple (spirit); and black and brown to recognize LGBTQ+ people of color and light blue, pink and white to recognize people who are transgender,” the Giants said in a statement.
