Bank robbery suspect sought

Police are looking for a suspect in three bank robberies in Alexandria and Arlington, and are asking the public to help identify him.

The first robbery occurred on Dec. 14, in Arlington at the BB&T Bank, 2947 S. Glebe Road. The next happened on Dec. 20, in at the Bank of America, at 600 N. Washington Street, in Alexandria. The  third happened on Dec. 27, at the PNC Bank at 1700 Diagonal Road. In each case, the man demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. Nobody was injured in the robberies.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 40 years old, 6-feet-2, weighing about 200 pounds. He has worn a royal blue puffy winter coat, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, a scarf over his face, knit hat and dark pants.
