HORIZON CITY, Texas (AP) — A Texas man charged with the aggravated assault and kidnapping of a 12-year-old girl at a football scrimmage has pleaded not guilty.
Forty-three-year-old Carlos Holcombe entered the pleas on Wednesday. His lawyer declined to comment to an El Paso Times reporter.
The girl tells authorities a man kidnapped her at a Horizon High School scrimmage last month. She says she was walking to the restroom when he took her to his car and sexually assaulted her before dropping her off at a movie theater.
