Exxon CEO’s compensation rises 8 percent to $27.2M

DALLAS (AP) — Exxon Mobil is making near-record profits and its CEO is getting rewarded.

An analysis by The Associated Press shows Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson got compensation valued at more than $27 million last year.

That’s an increase of 8 percent for Tillerson. He’s led the giant oil company since 2006.

Last year, Exxon earned $44.9 billion, its second-highest annual profit ever.
