The Columbia Association in Howard still is weighing options for the best staging area for lake dredging equipment that would have the least impact on the community.
Several options are available for staging areas where dredging equipment is moved into the lakes and located to load and haul away sediments, CA officials said.
Proposed staging areas for dredging of Lakes Elkhorn and Kittamaqundi are: parking lots next to the General Growth Properties office building; Crescent Property near Merriweather Post Pavilion; near Waters Edge neighbors; Hopewell Park, south of Lake Elkhorn; south end of Lake Kittamaqundi below the dam; parking lot area at Lake Elkhorn; and below the dam at the lakeside of Lake Elkhorn.
