Elementary school students and staff were seen cheering for a school cafeteria manager who recently passed her U.S. citizenship test.
“U-S-A,” students are heard chanting at Prairie Vale Elementary School in Edmond, Oklahoma, as Yanet Lopez walks through the halls holding an American flag.
“A HUGE SHOUTOUT to Ms. Yanet, our sweet cafeteria manager, who passed her test to become a US citizen!!! HOORAY!!!” a Facebook message from the school says.

Lopez revealed she passed the test this week, prompting the students and staff to line the hallways while cheering on Tuesday.
“Every morning Ms. Yanet walks into the office and proclaims ‘Good Morning, Pretty Ladies’ and with a smile and a laugh she always starts the day with a positive message!” Michelle Anderson, the school’s principal, wrote on the school’s Facebook page.

“We laughed that she would know more than those of us born in the US. I am honored to work with one best US citizens I know!” she added.
