D.C.’s Congressional delegate has asked future House Republican leadership to allow her to keep the minimal vote she has had under Democratic rule. Norton can’t vote on the House floor, but she can vote in the Committee of the Whole, where all money bills are introduced when the entire House comes together as committee. Previous Republican-led Congresses have denied Norton that vote.
