Mayor Adrian Fenty made the most of his home-field advantage in the triathlon he competed in Sunday.
His Honor finished 45th out of the 828 triathletes who competed in the inaugural Washington D.C. Triathlon at the “Olympic” distances of a nearly 1-mile swim, 25-mile bike ride and 6-plus mile run.
Fenty finished with a time of 2 hours, 19 minutes, 14 seconds. That was good for 16th out of the 16 competitors in his division, Men’s Elite.
