The District’s website was down into early Thursday afternoon after hackers reportedly launched an attack on the city’s Internet home.
City officials weren’t immediately available for comment, but DCist reported that the office of the District’s chief technology officer had confirmed the hacking.
D.C. was not the only city in the crosshairs on Thursday, as New York City’s municipal website was also offline.
