Forge Landing’s all heart

It was love at first sight.

When Juston Panambo and his wife, Diane, stopped in Forge Landing, they knew they were home. The couple and their two children moved into the Baltimore County development in May.

“My wife and I just fell in love with the neighborhood,” Juston said.

“It’s very neat and clean. It’s close to the malls. Everything is here.”

Panambo’s not one to fall head over heels at the first glance of a pretty place. A real estate agent, he knows the area well, and said Forge Landing, a collection of 146 home sites in Perry Hall, met all his needs.

The four-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom houses begin at 2,700 square feet and can range up to 3,000. Situated on quarter-acre lots, they have brick fronts and side-entry garages. They start in the high $400,000s and range to the low $500,000s.

The houses feature open floor plans — and in his home, the great room is Panambo’s favorite spot.

“I like the fireplace,” he said. “It’s a great room for people to gather in for parties. It’s our main room.”

Near the shopping mecca of White Marsh, Forge Landing also sits near schools and parks and is close to Interstate 95.

Because the community has been so successful, builder Richmond American Homes is constructing another development, Forge Reserve, nearby.

“It’s a large and established neighborhood, and it attracts a lot of families,” said Suzanne Strauss, Richmond American’s vice president of sales for its Maryland division.

“You have a lot of commercial development in the area. It’s surrounded by adjacent communities.”

The Panambos liked the idea of moving into a brand new house, and they were impressed by what they saw from Richmond American.

“I’m very familiar with new constructions,” Juston said. “In terms of quality and design, it’s very simple but elegant. The neighborhood is very friendly and family oriented. I let my kids play outside without worrying about their safety. We take care of each other.”

What’s not to love about that?
