Who: Nir Rosen What: The (former) New York University fellow who covered the war in Iraq tweeted jokes about CBS correspondent Lara Logan’s brutal assault in Egypt, minimizing her plight and wishing it on CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
Why it’s dim: It’s not just crass. It’s inhumane. If Rosen’s such a peacenik, why is he so quick to cheer violence toward journalists?
Cure: Rosen resigned from his post, but he should spend some time working in a battered women’s shelter to learn something.
